透
- penetrate, pass through; completely
I heard this word in a Popup Chinese podcast, which I was listening to. I seemed like a really useful word, the evil sister of 及了. When following a small, negative (in the sense of bad), verb, it means completely. When searching my email for this word, I discovered that it had been in one of the Chinese sentences sent to me for a course I signed up for some time: 如果中了乐透,我会买一座小岛。 It seems, that 乐透 is a transliteration of lottery.
看来他一定恨透你了
It looks like he must really hate you.
